Shopping when you have a 4-digit credit card balance you’re slowly trying to pay off, or eating fried pitas with additional butter at 1am when you’ve already put on 10 pounds in the last month (and you’re 5′2 so those 10 pounds REALLY show)?
I used to shop when I was depressed. Then, just before buying a ridiculously expensive treadmill for no real reason, I stopped myself and have refused to shop when feeling down.
Since then, I’m using food as my crutch. And my weight is continuing to balloon.
It’s lose-lose.
